# Supervise Live Sessions
## With Supervision Mode, you can provide supervision to your staff while they are running a live session.
In Supervision Mode, you will be able to:
1. Watch real-time data collection
2. Conduct visual analyses
3. Add annotations to graphs
4. Make program modifications
5. Complete your supervision session notes *all in one place*!

#### 📹Watch Supervising Live Sessions
#### Steps to Start Live Supervision Mode
Select the client's profile who is currently in a session
- Navigate to the client's home page. Their home page will show the session that is currently in session as well as the staff member who is currently running the session.
- Select supervise.
- The session will open and the top menu bar will be orange, which means you'll be able to see the live data that is being taken by the other staff member, but not collect data yourself.
- Please note you will not be able to take data yourself directly onto that session unless you were to request control and take over session. Click here to see how to [request control.](https://help.hirasmus.com/knowledge/ending-a-running-session-started-by-someone-else?hsLang=en)
*\*You cannot request control while supervising. You will need to end supervision and click the watch button instead\**
1\. Real-time data collection: Watch on screen as data is recorded live.
2\. Click  to conduct visual analyses and manipulate the graphical display.
3\. Add annotations to graphs.
- Click  to reveal the Settings toolbar, select \[**ANNOTATIONS**\], select \[**Add Phase Line**\].
4\. Click to make program modifications; edit instructional notes, update videos or digital materials, add, remove, or update targets to reflect in the changelog.
TIP: Type into the \[**Program modifications**\] pop-up, and this will automatically pull into your supervision session note *(as seen below)*:
5\. Once you have completed your supervision session, click \[Finish Session\]. The client's data summary will pull into your supervision note (as seen below):

**All programs are in main view when in live supervision mode. Pinned programs within a session will not be pinned during live supervision. This is to make it easier to make any notes or access progress.**
- Select End Supervision to close out your supervision session.

In addition to joining a live session and completing multiple tasks in Supervision Mode, you can take data on staff’s competency and performance during supervision after setting up [Premium Staff Profiles](https://help.hirasmus.com/knowledge/set-up-your-premium-staff-profiles?hsLang=en). Now you can supervise both a client and staff, at the same time!
