Settings Details

a. Time Frame

This adjusts the time frame viewed on the graph

The default setting is 3 months, this can be adjusted to a pre-set range or a custom date range. Preset ranges include: Today; Yesterday; Previous 7, 14, or 30 days; Previous 3 or 6 months; Previous year; Last week, This week, Last Month, This Month, or All Time

b. Data Source

This determines the source of the data being pulled onto the graph

• Session Data - this is the default and most common. This will pull the data from the sessions that have been run
• Targets - This uses the targets themselves as the data source instead of session data. This is for use with cumulative and insights graphs. This changes some menu options such as options on the x- and y-axis 
• Trial by Trial - This pulls in the data specifically for each trial. It is most commonly used for SBT but can be useful to analyze data on a trial level 
• Behavior Incidents - This is used for ABC Data

c. X-axis settings

Adjusts what data or values are displayed on the x-axis

• Daily (default), Weekly, Monthly - will change the time frame of the data on the x-axis
• Session - will separate out data per session. This is useful if there are multiple sessions per day. The x-axis will display a number that corresponds to the session displayed
• Program - this puts each program on the x-axis. Can useful to compare programs to each other (see e. filter settings for instructions on pulling multiple programs to the graph). Defaults to a column chart, but can be changed (see g. chart types) 
• Targets - shows each target separately along the x-axis. Defaults to a column chart, but can be changed (see g. chart types) 
• Prompt Level - shows each prompt level for the program separately along the x-axis. The way this displays will depend on your prompt level template and y-axis settings
  1. For example, if using a regular prompt level template, each prompt will either show as 100% or 0%, when graphing with success rate on the y-axis. 
• User - shows each user that has run the program during that time frame separately along the x-axis

d. Y-axis settings

Adjusts what data or values are displayed on the y-axis

• Percentage
  • Percent Correct (previously Success-rate): This will show the success rate / percent correct for the data shown, based on what responses are set as correct in the prompt level template
  • Percentage of Total: works for comparing multiple programs/targets/prompt level/etc. Shows a stacked column chart, indicating what percentage of the total number of trials each program/target/prompt level comprised.
• Frequency
  • Count - shows a frequency/count of how many trials have been marked as correct according to the prompt level template
• Rate
  • Rate per Minute/Hour/Day - this will count the number of successful responses over the designated unit of time. Hi Rasmus calculates the rate data the following way:
    • Hourly: # occurrences / duration of program in hours (which is often tied to session duration). This gives the HOURLY rate.
    • Minute: # of occurrences / duration of program in minutes. 
    • To get DAILY rate we take the hourly rate and multiply by 24. EXAMPLE: 4 occurrences in an 8 hour session = 0.5 occurrences / hour. 0.5 X 24 = 12 occurrences / day
  • Note: if using a prompt level template that has both successful and unsuccessful responses, rate will only count successful responses - this is different than learning opportunities (below), which shows the total number of trials across successful and unsuccessful options
• Learning Opportunities
  • Learning Opps Count - shows a total number of data points taken across all prompt levels
  • Learning Opps per Minute/Hour/Day - this will count the number of total responses over the designated unit of time. Hi Rasmus calculates the rate data by # occurrences / duration of program in hours (which is often tied to session duration). This gives the HOURLY rate.
    • To get DAILY rate we take the hourly rate and multiply by 24.
    • EXAMPLE: 4 occurrences in an 8 hour session = 0.5 occurrences / hour. 0.5 X 24 = 12 occurrences / day
  • Learning Opps per Session Hour - will show a rate based on the session timer. This setting is available for skill acquisition programs and others that are not frequency
• Duration - these settings can be used for adjusting what duration is displayed on the graph
  • Total observed duration - displays the total duration for the whole session, across all recorded instances
  • Min. Observed Duration - each data point displayed on the graph represents the instance with the shortest duration recorded during the session
  • Max. Observed Duration - each data point displayed on the graph represents the instance with the longest duration recorded during the session
  • Avg. Observed Duration - each data point displayed represents the average duration of all instances recorded during the session

• Prompt Fading
  • Prompt Success-rate - this option can be used with programs set with an automatic prompt fading prompt level template. This will show the success rate of each prompt level during the session

e. Filter Settings

Allows you to pull multiple programs onto the graph and look at all the data based on different settings or fields (*note: these will all show as one data path unless you adjust the group settings, explained in f below)

• Programs - select multiple programs to put together on one graph. These programs should be the same type of programs (e.g. all frequency programs), as you can only have one value on the y-axis
• Tags - select a tag to put all programs with that tag on the graph
• Program Type - select one or multiple types of programs to pull all programs of that type on the graph
• Target Status - select one or more target statuses to pull data from all targets with that status on to the graph
• Users - select one or more users to pull all data taken by the user(s) on to the graph

f. Group Settings

These settings allow you to group the data in different ways to see separate data paths

• No grouping - All data selected on the graph will be shown on one data path
• Program - can be used if you have multiple programs displayed on the graph (see e. Filter Settings), and each program will be shown on a different data path
• Target - can be used if you have data from multiple targets (within the same program or different programs) on the graph, and each target will be shown on a different data path
• Prompt Level - will group together data paths based on prompt level
  • This is best when using either weighted prompt levels or when putting occurrences on the y axis. 
• User - this will group the data taken by each user on a different data path
• Hinted Prompt Level - for the automatic prompt fading program. The hinted prompt level is the prompt level shown on the screen before the data point is taken 
• Mode - This is for programs with different modes, such as SBT or Sufficient Exemplar Training, and will group based on the mode selected on the program.

g. Chart Types

These settings change the chart type and how the data is visually displayed 

• Line chart - displays the data as a typical line chart
• Column chart - displays the data as a column chart. Some settings will default to a column chart
• Stacked column chart - displays the data as a column chart with the ability to show multiple different values within each column
• Logarithmic line chart - can be used with certain types of targets such as frequency to show proportional change over time and to clarify long-term trends
• Scatterplot - displays the data as a traditional scatterplot style graph (note: this is not an ABA scatterplot graph - for this type of graph, see Heatmap below)
• Heatmap - only works when the x-axis is set to display data by session. Displays the data visually on the graph with time of day on the y-axis and day of the week on the x-axis. This does not capture the exact timestamp of the data point, but captures the start time of the session where the data occurs. Most useful for ABC data, which does have a timestamp associated

h. Annotations

These settings cover trend lines, average lines, and phase change lines

• Trend - toggle this setting on to show a trend line of the current data. This is only available if graphing by session on the x-axis. This will show a different trend line for each data path on the graph
• Average - toggle this setting on to add an average line to the graph. This will display the average of each data path on the graph
• Mastery criteria - toggle this setting on to add a horizontal line representing your mastery criteria for that program or target
• Phase lines 
  • Click the toggle button next to the client/program name displayed to turn on/off phase lines for specific programs. Click the arrow to see where the phase change lines are, and edit specific lines.
  • Click “Add Phase Line…” to add a new line to the graph. Pick a start date and time, add a label, and then click which programs to apply it to

i. Additional Settings

• Hide deleted targets - this can be toggled on to hide any targets that have been deleted from a program.

Other options 

• Gear wheel icon at top right of graph - these open the general chart settings
  • Change the theme to be colorful or black and white, and add a chart title
  • Y-Axis Settings: Add a custom label, min/max values, or disable gridlines 
  • X-Axis Settings: Add a custom label or disable grid lines
  • Custom date format: When graphing by session on the x-axis, you can adjust the date format here
• Favorite a setting - after adjusting the settings, you can press the star in the top right corner of the graph. This will mark this setting as the default view of the graph
  • If the star appears as an outline, there are no custom settings favorited
  • If the star appears filled in, it is showing the previously set defaults
• Export graphs - the export icon is located at the top right of the graph next to the star. You can export the graph as an image, PDF, PDF with data table, excel, or print.

1. X-axis settings can be adjusted to show weekly or per session data 
2. Y-axis settings can be adjusted to show learning opps or learning opps per session hour
   1. Frequency, duration, and prompt fading settings are not recommended for skill acquisition goals
3. Filter by program to compare multiple programs
4. Group by target or by user 
5. Can use trial by trial data to see each individual trial’s data, and group by prompt level can be helpful here as well. Group by prompt level can also be used with an occurrences graph

Skill Acquisition with Automatic Prompt Fading

1. Y-Axis Settings:
   1. Prompt Success-Rate. This compares the prompt level that was showing on each trial compared to the prompt level that was selected
      1. If the prompt level selected was the same as the one showing, or lower (less intrusive), it is considered successful. 
   2. Learning opps count - this will show you the number of occurrences of specific prompts during the session
   3. Percent Correct or Count is not recommended since each prompt level shows as an unsuccessful trial. 
2. Grouping settings - with y-axis set to prompt success-rate:
   1. Group by Hinted Prompt Level - This will show you what the success rate of each prompt is. The percentage of each prompt shown on the graph is the times when the prompt level was showing on the target, and that prompt level or a less intrusive one was selected. 
   2. Group by Prompt Level with the y-axis set to prompt success-rate is not recommended
3. Grouping settings - with y-axis set to learning opps count
   1. Group by Prompt Level - will show the total number of times each prompt level was recorded
   2. Group by Hinted Prompt Level - will show the total number of times each prompt level showed on the screen, indicating what prompt level should be used on that trial

1. Y-axis settings - can adjust to show various rates
   1. Learning opps per minute/hour/day - Hi Rasmus calculates the rate data the following way:
      • Hourly: # occurrences / duration of program in hours (which is often tied to session duration). This gives the HOURLY rate.
      • Minute: # of occurrences / duration of program in minutes. 
      • To get DAILY rate we take the hourly rate and multiply by 24. EXAMPLE: 4 occurrences in an 8 hour session = 0.5 occurrences / hour. 0.5 X 24 = 12 occurrences / day
   2. Selecting just learning opps count on the y-axis will show the count/frequency
2. Group by target, user, etc. to see different data paths

1. Y-axis settings can be adjusted to show minimum, maximum, average, and total observed duration. Learning Opps Count can also be used to see the total number of recorded instances

Task Analysis

1. Changing the data source to targets can show a cumulative graph of steps of the TA that have been mastered
2. Grouping by target will show each step on a different data path. 
   1. In the case of a backwards or forwards chain, the “waiting” steps will show as 0%
3. See percent correct of each target step in a given time period: Adjust the x-axis to targets, the y-axis to percent correct, and then group by targets with a column chart

Interval

1. The default settings will show percent of intervals that marked with the successful outcome
2. Y-axis settings:
   1. Count: The number of intervals that were marked with the successful outcome
   2. Learning Opps Count: The total number of intervals run, regardless of what the outcome of each interval was 
   3. Percentage of Total - helpful if you group by prompt level, shows the a stacked column chart showing the percentage of each prompt level

SBT

Recommended settings to show trial by trial data for SBT programs: 

1. Update data source: Trial by Trial (will change x- and y- axis settings accordingly)
2. X-axis: Trial (by session)
3. Y-Axis: Target
4. Group by: Prompt Level

ABC Data

Additional Common Settings

*X- and Y-axis settings, filter, and grouping settings are different on ABC data graphs

1. The default settings will show you Learning Opps Count, which is the number of occurrences of ABC data on a given day, and will list each individual instance below the graph
2. The heatmap setting will plot the frequency of instances in a given time/day of the week - this type of graph was designed for ABC data
3. Y-axis settings: Since ABC data has a duration component, you can use the duration settings on the y-axis - the same settings as on a duration program 
4. Filter and Group settings: These are adjusted for ABC data and include all fields within the ABC data program - e.g. antecedent. These can be used to analyze data with a certain antecedent, consequence, etc. 
5. Column chart and stacked column chart can be used in conjunction with group settings to show the occurrences of a certain conditions in relation to the total occurrences recorded
